How to add ShopHop to your home screen
Last updated 27 Oct 2026
ShopHop is not in the App Store or Google Play yet, but you do not need to wait. You can add it to your phone’s home screen in a few taps and open it like any other app: its own icon, full screen, without the browser address bar. It is free and there is nothing to download.
Jump to: iPhone and iPad · Android (Chrome) · Samsung Internet · Computer (Chrome or Edge)
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open the Safari app and go to shophop.au.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On newer versions of iOS you may need to tap the More button (three dots) first, then Share.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen. If it is not there, scroll to the bottom, tap Edit Actions, then add it.
- If you see Open as Web App, leave it on so ShopHop opens full screen like an app.
- Tap Add. The ShopHop icon appears on your home screen.
The icon is only added to the device you are using, so repeat these steps on your iPad if you want it there too.
Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and go to shophop.au.
- Tap the More menu (three dots, to the right of the address bar).
- Tap Install and create shortcut, then Install. In some Chrome versions this is labelled Install app or Add to home screen.
- Follow the prompts. ShopHop is added to your home screen and app drawer.
Chrome may also show an install banner or prompt on its own; tapping Install does the same thing.
Samsung Internet
- Open Samsung Internet and go to shophop.au.
- Tap the menu button (three lines, usually at the bottom right).
- Tap Add page to, then Home screen, then Add.
Menu names can vary slightly between Samsung Internet versions.
Computer (Chrome or Microsoft Edge)
Chrome:
- Go to shophop.au.
- Click the Install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the More menu (three dots) and choose Cast, save, and share then Install page as app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Microsoft Edge:
- Go to shophop.au.
- Click the App available icon in the address bar, then click Install.
ShopHop then opens in its own window and can be pinned to your taskbar or dock.
What you get
- One tap to open ShopHop, with no address bar in the way.
- Quick access to the barcode scanner in store (see how scanning works).
- The same prices, shopping lists and price alerts as the website, always up to date.
